With heavy hearts the family of Thomas “Tom” Gordon Robbins announce his passing at the Grey Bruce Health Services – Owen Sound, on Monday, July 5, 2021, at 73 years of age, peacefully surrounded by his wife Cathy and their 3 children. Dearly loved husband and best friend of Catherine Anne Robbins (nee Bell) for 50 years. Loving father of Stephen (Kerry) of Ottawa, Karen (Chad MacWilliam) of Georgian Bluffs and Marsha (Joe DeVries) of Shallow Lake. Proud grandfather of Kurtis, Jackson, Brooke and Reed. Step-grandfather of Nanda, Taylor, Marissa and Karina. Cherished by his siblings Don, Brenda Haanstra (Robert), Jim (Lyn), sister-in-law Donna Robbins, brother-in-law Tim Bell (Bev) and Garry Cashubec. Also survived by his mother-in-law Audrey Bell. He is predeceased by his parents Ross and June Robbins (nee McNabb), his father-in-law Andrew Bell, his brother Ron Robbins, his sister Linda Cashubec and his sister-in-law Helen Robbins. Visitation will be held at the Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, Owen Sound, 519-376-7492, on Thursday evening, July 8th from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. With COVID-19 restrictions guests must wear a mask, follow social distancing protocols and schedule a time by calling the funeral home or RSVP through the website. A private funeral service to celebrate Tom’s life will be held on Friday, July 9th, 2021. If desired, memorial donations to the Parkinson Society Southwestern Ontario may be made through the funeral Home.
