Obituary of Adam Bellar

Adam passed away at Grand River Hospital in Kitchener on March 23, 2020.  Born in Owen Sound, on October 3, 1985, Adam Jeffrey Mervyn Bellar of Kitchener, formerly of Owen Sound, was in his 35th year.

Loving son of Shannon Shaw (Greg) and Lee Bellar (Linda Gard), all of Owen Sound.  Dear brother of Matthew Bellar, and stepbrother of Matt Shaw (Ali), Jake Shaw (Bridgid) and Rob Shaw (Amanda).  Cherished grandson of Glen and Mary Etta Bellar of Owen Sound, and the late Merv and Betty Byers.  Adam will also be missed by his many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Adam was fighting hard every day to find his way to a better place.  He was fiercely loyal to those he cared about.  Adam loved and was deeply loved by his family and friends.  He wasn’t afraid of hard work and he loved sports and games.  Adam played numerous sports in his younger years, from hockey to baseball to soccer, excelling at them all, but in adulthood it was the gym he loved.  Never missing his workouts, ever hoping one day it could turn into a career.  Adam was smart, so funny, generous and the best “cat dad” to his two furry babies, Loon and Remy.  His family will miss him more than words can say, and he will be in our hearts every day.  He was our beautiful boy.

Cremation has taken place and at a later date a service to celebrate Adam’s life will be held at the Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 – 14 Street West, Owen Sound, ON N4K 3X8, 519-376-7492.

As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Canadian Mental Health Association or the Grey Bruce Animal Shelter would be appreciated.  Online condolences can be sent by visiting Adam’s memorial at www.woodfuneralhome.ca
