Passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side at Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound, on Thursday, February 6, 2020. Born in St. Vincent Township, Grey County, on March 3, 1925, Annie Elizabeth Stewart of Owen Sound was in her 95th year.
Beloved wife of the late Melburn Stewart and the late Sandy Brown. Dear sister of Harold Bumstead and his wife Lois of Owen Sound. Loving grandmother of Jeremy Brown and Sandy Brown.
Predeceased by her parents Hugh and Mary (née Londry) Bumstead, her son Roger Brown, brothers Walter and Henry Bumstead, and her sisters Adeline Boorman, Isobel Sadler and Hazel Wilson.
Ann was a long-time member of the Owen Sound Modern Square Dancers. She loved to play cards and listen to country music. A great cat lover and her cat Mannie was very special to her.
Ann’s family wishes to express their very deepest gratitude to her wonderful neighbours, Murray Fullerton and Diana Jackman, Brenda Hanbidge, Jim Wilson and Arnie Clark for all they have done for her over all the years, and to her very best friend and faithful driver Garry Nuhn.
A graveside funeral service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery, 190 - 1st St. S. W., Owen Sound, on Tuesday, February 11, 2020, at 11 a.m. Arrangements are entrusted to the Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 – 14th St. W., Owen Sound, N4K 3X8, 519-376-7492.
