The family of Marilyn Heather Playford (nee Hurlbut) are saddened to announce her passing at the Chapman House Hospice in Owen Sound, on Tuesday, January 7th, 2020, at the age of 82 years. In the last few weeks she had some serious health issues that she persevered with up until the end. Dearly loved wife of Harold Playford for 62 years. Loving mother of David Playford and his wife, Jodie, of Australia. Proud grandmother of James and Sarah Playford. Dear sister of Murray “Moe” Hurlbut (Gwen), of Owen Sound. Predeceased by her parents, Frederick and Muriel Hurlbut; her siblings, Colleen Govier (Lloyd) and Patricia Hall (Graham). Heather was the kindest and most generous soul that one could ever know. Her husband, her son and his family and everyone else who knew her are going to miss her terribly. The family would like to extend their warmest thanks to all their family and friends who came to visit Heather over the past weeks and their deepest gratitude to everyone at the Chapman House Hospice.
There will be no visitation or service. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery.
