Obituary of Joanne Johnson
Joanne Margaret Johnson (nee Allen), of Owen Sound, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, at the Grey Bruce Health Services on Friday, July 5th, 2019, at the age of 66 years. Beloved wife of John Johnson. Adored mother of Jeff and Kristi Kirkwood, of Owen Sound. Loved step-mother of Jeff Johnson (Heather), of Parry Sound, Kristine Fleming and Johnnie Johnson (Patricia Weidemann), both of Owen Sound. Cherished grandmother of Shailyn, Brynna and Tanner Kirkwood, Jeffrey (Christine), Amy, Samantha, Jessica, Amanda and Joshua Johnson and Amanda Wright, Cassandra (Jake) Fox and Eddy Fleming, Simon, Victoria and Shannon Weidemann and Jonathon Johnson and her 20 great-grandchildren. Loved sister of Kathy Foster and Edwin Allen (Lois Thorne). She is also survived by her nieces, Debbie Ferris (Steve), Kathie Foster (Bruno Natarelli) and Rhonda Travis (Don), Jennifer King (Luis) and Kim Blanchett (Eric), Janice Currie; her nephew, Robbie Currie (Brenda). She will be dearly missed by many other friends and extended family that are too numerous to mention. She will be reunited in heaven with her infant daughter, Tammy Michelle Kirkwood and her parents, John and Margaret Allen (nee Juniper), her sister, Patricia Currie (Harold), her son-in-law, Larry Fleming and her brother-in-law, Ron Foster. She will always be remembered by her children’s father, Terry Kirkwood (Jennifer), Colin and Julie. Joanne did not have as much time with us as we would have chosen but during her life she loved and laughed and cared deeply for those around her. Her presence brought joy to so many and she will be deeply missed.
