Obituary of Mildred Noble
Mildred Pauline Noble (nee Gould) passed away peacefully with her family by her side, at John Joseph Place in Owen Sound, on Thursday, May 30th, 2019 in her 97th year. Millie is now finally reunited with her late husband, Herb Noble (1999). Millie was a loving mother to her two daughters, Carol Dixon and Linda Wardell (Doug) and to her one son, Gary Noble (Karin). She was the adored grandmother of Ian Dixon (Julia), Heather Palumbi (Chris), David Dixon, Brian Wardell (Shelley), Carrie Jesseau (Jay), John Noble (Victoria), Jordan Noble and Lindsey Noble as well as the 12 great-grandchildren that she was so very proud of. She is survived by her sister, Dolores Gleeson (Dave). Millie will be missed by her many nieces, nephews and her devoted friend, Sue Noble. Predeceased by her parents, Francis and Matilda Gould; her brothers, Frank Gould (Irene), Bill Gould (Anne), Clare Gould (Bette); her sister, Marie McChesney (Ken). Millie has always called Owen Sound her home. Along with her husband, she enjoyed raising their children while living close to her parents and siblings on the east side, then in her later years with extended family at John Joseph Place. Never idle, when she wasn’t busy looking after someone she was crocheting and/or knitting for that “special” baby that would wear her gorgeous sweaters and bonnets.
A Funeral Service for Millie Noble will be held in the Chapel of the BRIAN E. WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 250 - 14th Street, West, Owen Sound, Ontario N4K 3X8 (519-376-7492) on Tuesday, June 4th, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Wojciech Kuzma officiating. Visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery. If so desired, the family would appreciate donations to the Owen Sound Regional Hospital Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society as an expression of sympathy.
