Susan Brown

Peacefully surrounded by the love of her family, at the Chapman House Hospice, on Wednesday morning, January 29th, 2020. Susan Patricia Brown (nee Traplin), of Owen Sound, at the age of 66 years. Dearly loved wife and best friend of Garry Brown. Loving mother of Trevor Craig, of Chatsworth, Todd Craig and Tracy Flood (Mike Maisonneuve), both of Owen Sound and  stepmother of Tony Brown, of St. Thomas and Dan Brown, of Guelph. Proud grandmother of 15 grandchildren. Dear sister of Donald Traplin (Jane), of Kingsville, Cecile Traplin, of Owen Sound and sister-in-law of Jane Traplin, of Orillia, Bonnie Traplin, of Florida, Audrey White (Melvin) and Chesley Brown, both of Nova Scotia, Betty Connell, of Montana, Ross Brown (Althea) and Linda MacKenzie (Sandy), both of Nova Scotia. Susan will be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Lenore Traplin; her brothers, Bob and Ted Traplin; her parents-in-law, Albert and Stella Brown; her in-laws, Marjorie Brown and Fred Connell. Sue’s family would like to sincerely thank all the wonderful doctors, especially Dr. Alison Barfoot, Dr. Alexandra Hodgson and Dr. Hildegard Huff and the nurses and staff of the Chapman House Hospice for the exceptional care that Sue received while she was a resident there. The love and compassion that was given to Sue was amazing and greatly appreciated.

A Celebration of Life Visitation for Sue Brown will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion on Friday, February 7th, 2020 from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. Words of Remembrance will take place at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. Kathy Underwood officiating. Spring Interment in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Georgian Bluffs. If so desired, the family would appreciate donations to the Chapman House Hospice or the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #6, Owen Sound as an expression of sympath and may be made through the BRIAN E.
