Obituary of Archie MacDonald

Kenneth Archibald MacDonald, of Owen Sound passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family, on Friday morning, November 24th, 2017, at the age of 82 years.  Dearly beloved husband and best friend of Rosalie MacDonald (nee Duggan) for 57 years. Loving father of Mary Lou and Bill Brennan, of London, Jan and Steve McArthur and Bill MacDonald, both of Owen Sound. Proud Poppa of Michael, Meghan; Mitchell & Whitney, Jessica, Adam; Zoe, Savannah, Jack, Vita and Jesse. Dear brother of John MacDonald, of Owen Sound, William and Ann MacDonald, of Meaford and Kathryn Gill, of Owen Sound. Archie will be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews and the Duggan family. Predeceased by his parents, William and Beatrice MacDonald; his siblings, Jean and Bill Cole, Helen MacDonald, Marion and Al Henderson; his in-laws, Marjorie MacDonald and Harold Gill. 

Friends may call at the BRIAN E. WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 250 – 14th Street West, Owen Sound, Ontario N4K 3X8 (519-376-7492) on Monday from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial for Archie MacDonald will be held at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 554 - 15th Street East, Owen Sound, on Tuesday, November 28th, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Wojciech Kuzma officiating. Interment at a later date in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Irish Block. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Owen Sound Regional Hospital Foundation or the Chapman House Hospice as an expression of sympathy.
