Obituary of David Turner
Peacefully at his home surrounded by the love of his family, on Saturday morning, October 7th, 2017. David Edmund Guy Turner, of Shallow Lake. Dearly loved husband of Alice Turner (nee te Bokkel) for 27 years. David was one of the 7 sons of the late Arthur and Rosalee Turner, of Gloucester, England. He leaves behind many relatives and friends in England. David's gifts were his wife, family and country. He spent his younger years rambling the Cotswolds and Malverns on foot and cycle. The temperate English weather allowed all year sports - his favourite being rugby - which he played for 27 years, plus cricket, tennis, swimming and other sports that the weather allowed. Special thanks to Dr. McArthur and Lisa McLeod; neighbours, Jim, Jack and Scott for the lifts they gave us when we were down. A sincere thank you to Nurse Next Door Georgian Bay (Denae, Char, Rebecca, Adrienne, Tina and Melissa). A special thanks to Kayla and Jennifer from Care Partners.
A Private Family Service was held on Thursday, October 12th, 2017 with Rev. Ed Laksmanis officiating.
