Obituary of Gerrit VanderPloeg

John 14:1-4 “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. And you know the way to where I am going.”
Steadfast in his love for God, Gerrit VanderPloeg died peacefully at Maple View Long Term Care on Sunday September 10th 2017. He was married to Elisabeth (2006) for 55 years. He was predeased by Elisabeth, his son Stan, his grandson Fernand and his great grand-daughter Hannah. Gerrit was a brother to Johanna, Cornelius, John, Ray, Dick, and Ralph. Gerrit was a much loved grandfather to Derek, Joe, Erin, Lindsey, Fernand, Josie, Matthew, Maria, Gerrit, Kelly, Scott, Chris, Nicholas, Bethany and Taylor.
