Obituary of Alynn Laycox

Peacefully at his home with family by his side, on Tuesday evening, June 6th, 2017. Alynn Stanley Laycox, of Owen Sound, at the age of 84 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Irene Laycox (2014). Loving father of Lynn Cashin (Dave), of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Gary Laycox (Wanda), of Kitchener, Penny Salvado, of Owen Sound, Wendy Laycox (Theresa Miron), of Ottawa, Barry Laycox and Wayne Laycox, both of Owen Sound, Paul Laycox (Judy), of Toronto and Chris Laycox (Rosemary), of Owen Sound. Proud grandfather of 14 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Blanche Blouin, of Cochrane and Dolly Laycox of Clinton. Predeceased by his parents, Henry and Amy Laycox; his step-father; Robert Skinner; his 5 sisters; his 2 brothers; his in-laws.

Friends may call at the BRIAN E. WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 250 – 14th Street West, Owen Sound, Ontario N4K 3X8 (519-376-7492) on Sunday evening from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A Memorial Service for Alynn Laycox will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, June 12th, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Heather McCarrel officiating. Interment in St. Mark’s Cemetery, Holland Centre. The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #6, Owen Sound will hold a Memorial Service at the Funeral Home on Sunday evening at 6:45 p.m. If so desired, the family would appreciate donations to the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #6, Poppy Fund or the Canadian Cancer Society as an expression of sympathy.
